Our Farm Kitchen & Terrace is envisioned as a versatile open-concept space at the heart of farm life — a place where cooking, gathering, learning, and sharing can all happen naturally. Planned as a flexible environment for a seasonal restaurant, cooking classes, seminars, workshops, and special events, it is designed to bring people closer to the farm through food and lived experience.

Closely connected to the farm’s educational garden, this space is meant to turn harvest into experience. Fresh ingredients grown nearby can move directly from garden to kitchen, creating a setting where visitors not only enjoy meals, but also discover how food is grown, prepared, and shared in a more meaningful way.

The Vision

This project is designed as more than an outdoor kitchen. It is intended to become one of the central meeting places of the farm - a welcoming space where education, hospitality, and local food culture meet. The idea is to create an environment where visitors can taste the farm, learn from it, and experience its values through shared meals, hands-on workshops, and seasonal gatherings.

Because it is directly linked to the educational garden, the Farm Kitchen & Terrace also plays an important role in the farm’s teaching mission. It can serve as the place where ingredients grown on-site are transformed into meals, demonstrations, and learning experiences, helping connect growing, cooking, and community in one coherent space.

The terrace is designed as a serene open-air setting with separate tables placed among the trees for privacy, allowing guests to enjoy their meal in a calm and natural atmosphere. After dining, you can continue to unwind in a hammock beneath the woodland shade, turning the experience into something more restful, intimate, and memorable.

Culinary workshops & guest chefs

Bringing Mediterranean and Croatian food traditions to life through hands-on learning

Workshops and live culinary experiences are an important part of our vision for this space. We plan to welcome chefs, herbal experts, and food artisans who can share their knowledge of local ingredients, traditional methods, and Mediterranean cooking culture in a warm and inspiring farm setting. Among the people we would collaborate with is our good friend Šime Sušić, winner of the first Croatian MasterChef, who is not only an exceptional chef but also a wonderful teacher. Together with other friends and professionals from the worlds of food, herbs, and natural ingredients, we hope to create memorable experiences that connect visitors with authentic Croatian flavors, practical knowledge, and the joy of preparing food together.
