Our Mediterranean Therapy Garden is envisioned as a peaceful 1,500 m² space filled with Mediterranean trees, herbs, and flowers, carefully designed to offer a multi-sensory experience of nature. More than a garden to look at, it is intended to be a place where visitors can slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with the land through scent, texture, color, and gentle movement.

A central part of this vision is accessibility. The garden is planned with wheelchair-accessible educational paths and a small raised-bed garden, creating a space that can be enjoyed by people of different ages and physical abilities. The aim is to shape a restorative environment where Mediterranean planting, practical learning, and quiet reflection come together in a natural and welcoming setting.

The Vision

This project is designed as more than a beautiful garden. It is intended to become a restorative outdoor space where the therapeutic qualities of Mediterranean nature are carefully brought forward through planting, access, and atmosphere. Fragrance from herbs, seasonal color from flowers, the shade of trees, and the tactile experience of pathways and beds all contribute to a garden that invites presence, calm, and wellbeing.

The vision is also deeply inclusive. By combining accessible paths with educational elements and raised beds, the garden is planned as a place where visitors can both experience and learn from the landscape. It is meant to offer a quiet but meaningful encounter with nature — one that supports healing, curiosity, and a stronger connection to the rhythms of the Mediterranean environment

Accessible gardening for all

The Raised Healing Bed is designed to make gardening easier, more comfortable, and more inclusive for visitors of different ages and abilities. Its elevated structure and open access allow wheelchair users and people with limited mobility to take part more naturally in planting, caring, harvesting, and sensory garden activities. More than a practical feature, it creates a shared space for connection, learning, and wellbeing. Filled with herbs, flowers, and seasonal edible plants, it brings texture, scent, color, and growth within easy reach as part of the Mediterranean Healing Garden.
